Crochet Christmas Wreath Applique Pattern
Christmas wreaths are one of those classic holiday decorations that everyone loves. This small crochet Christmas wreath applique is quick, easy and full of festive charm.

It’s Day 6 of the 12 Days of Crochet Christmas!
If you’re crocheting along and haven’t done so already, you’ll want to whip up an easy crochet gift tag to attach your applique to.

About the Pattern
This crochet Christmas wreath applique is made up of 2 rounds with the final round being a fun textured edging.
The trick here is to not draw the magic circle all the way closed. I like to place my wreath on the end of a pencil to get a nice even circle.

Finished Size
The finished applique measures approximately 1″ x 1″ (2.5cm x 2.5cm). Size may vary depending on tension and materials used.
Gauge
Gauge is not important in this pattern. However, using a different yarn and hook size will change the size of the finished item.
Notes
- The pattern is worked in joined rounds starting with a magic ring. The chain at the beginning of R1 does not count as a stitch. Work the first stitch of the next round in the same stitch as joining.
Pattern Instructions
Wreath (green)
Make a magic ring.
R1: Ch 1, 15 hdc in magic ring, join with sl st to first hdc (15) – don’t pull the ring closed all the way. You want to leave a hole for the centre of the wreath.
R2: Ch 1, sl st in same st, [ch 1, sl st in next st] x14
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Thread some red yarn through a couple of stitches at the bottom of the wreath and tie in a bow. Trim ends.
