Christmas Bauble Crochet Pattern

Whip up a fun ornament with this quick and easy no-sew Christmas bauble crochet pattern.

It’s Day 5 of the 12 Days of Crochet Christmas!

When I was in the early stages of planning this collection, I realised that we’ve done a lot of fun character baubles but not a simple bauble pattern.

Of course, I had to make it at least a little bit festive so I went with the classic Santa belly but it would also look great in a single colour.

About the Pattern

This Christmas bauble crochet pattern is a no-sew pattern. When creating the bauble we’ll leave a round of front loops on the top to work the cap off of later.

I used surface slip stitching for the belt buckle but if you find this tricky, you could always just sew lines.

Why You’ll Love This Christmas Bauble Crochet Pattern

  • Basic stitches: Uses mostly single crochet stitches.
  • No-sew: Doesn’t require any sewing aside from hiding ends.
  • Customisable: A simple base pattern that you can add your own flare to.

Finished Size

The finished Christmas bauble measures approximately 2″ x 2″ (5cm x 5cm) not including the bauble cap. Size may vary depending on tension and materials used.

Gauge

Gauge is not important in this pattern. Use a hook size to match your chosen yarn. Make sure that your stitches are tight enough to prevent stuffing showing through and adjust hook size if necessary.

Notes

  • Pieces are worked in a continuous spiral starting with a magic ring unless otherwise specified. Mark the first stitch of each round with a removable stitch marker.
