Easter Crochet Bunny Pattern
Hop into your next project with this irresistibly cute crochet bunny!
Whether you’re making a cuddly friend for a little one, adding a handmade touch to your Easter celebrations or just love all things soft and snuggly, this bunny is sure to steal your heart.

To be honest this was one of those projects where I couldn’t decide if I loved it or hated it. I ended up putting it to a vote on Instagram and y’all wanted the pattern so here it is.
This crochet bunny works in any colour and would make a lovely addition to an Easter basket.
About the Pattern
This crochet bunny is worked from the top down starting with the ears.
We’ll crochet each ear separately before joining them together and continuing with the rest of the bunny.
I wanted to keep this bunny sweet and simple so I finished it with some scrap ribbon and decided against adding a tail. However, if you wanted to add a tail, a white pom-pom would be cute.

Finished Size
The finished bunny measures approximately 7.25″ (8.5cm) tall. Size may vary depending on tension and materials used.
Gauge
Gauge is not important in this pattern. However, using a different yarn and hook size will change the size of the finished item.
Notes
- Pieces are worked in a continuous spiral. Mark the first stitch of each round with a removable stitch marker.
Pattern Instructions
Ears (make 2)
R1: Ch 2, 8 sc in second ch from hook (8)
R2-7: [Sc] x8 (8) 6 rounds
Fasten off first ear.
Repeat R1-7 for the second ear, do not fasten off.
We will now join the ears together and continue to crochet the bunny. The first ear is the one we fastened off, the second ear is the one still attached to our hook and yarn.
Bunny
R8: Ch 1, join the second ear to the first ear with a sc in the first st of the first ear, [sc] x7 in remaining sts, sc into the front loop of the ch between the ears, [sc] x8 around second ear, sc in the back loop of the ch (18)

R9: Sc, inc, [2 sc, inc] x5, sc (24)
R10: [3 sc, inc] x6 (30)
R11-15: [Sc] x30 (30) 5 rounds
R16: [3 sc, invdec] x6 (24)
R17: Sc, invdec, [2 sc, invdec] x5, sc (18)
R18: [Inc] x18 (36)
Insert safety eyes between R12 and R13, approximately 6 sts apart.
Start stuffing and continue to stuff as you go.
R19-26: [Sc] x36 (36) 8 rounds
R27: 2 sc, invdec, [4 sc, invdec] x5, 2 sc (30)
R28: [3 sc, invdec] x6 (24)
R29: Sc, invdec, [2 sc, invdec] x5, sc (18)
R30: [Sc, invdec] x6 (12)
Note: If substituting yarn, you may need a further decrease round – [invdec] x6 (6)
Cut the yarn leaving a tail and pull through last st. Weave the yarn tail through the front loop only of the final round and pull to close. Hide end inside the bunny.
Finishing
- Using 4 ply black yarn or black embroidery floss, sew a nose and mouth centred between the eyes. I made my nose a ‘V’ shape over R13 with a small vertical line over R14 for the mouth.
- Tie a piece of scrap ribbon in a bow around the neck and trim ends.
