Mini Carrot Crochet Pattern
Easter is just around the corner and this mini carrot crochet pattern is such a fun and quick little make. It was one of the patterns that didn’t make the cut for the 12 Days of Crochet Christmas event (while the thought of hanging carrots on the Christmas tree cracks me up, it wasn’t quite the vibe that I was going for).
You can use this little carrot for keychains, magnets, brooches, garlands, as an accessory for other amigurumi or for a play kitchen.
MATERIALS
- DK Weight Yarn in orange and green (I used Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in Blood Orange and Grass Green)
- 2.5mm crochet hook
- Polyester fiberfill
- Brown embroidery floss
- Stitch marker, yarn needle, scissors
ABBREVIATIONS
- ch – chain
- sc – single crochet
- inc – increase
- invdec – invisible decrease
- sl st – slip stitch
- st/s – stitch/es
- […] – repeat the instructions in brackets
- (…) – indicates stitch count at end of round
NOTES
The pattern is written using US terminology and measures approximately 3.25” (8.5cm) long when using the materials listed.
Pieces are worked in a continuous spiral starting with a magic ring unless otherwise specified. Mark the first stitch of each round with a removable stitch marker.
Gauge is not important in this pattern. Use a hook size to match your chosen yarn. Make sure that your stitches are tight enough to prevent stuffing showing through and adjust hook size if necessary.
