No-Sew Crochet Gingerbread Man Pattern

This no-sew crochet gingerbread man pattern is quick and easy making it ideal for Christmas craft fairs/markets and last minute gifts.

I’ve had a few of you asking for some no-sew Christmas patterns for your Christmas markets so I hope I’m not too late to the party with this sweet little guy.

When I first made him, I had a vision of pastel coloured buttons and rosy cheeks. However, because he’s so small none of those things looked quite right so in the end I decided to keep it simple but, this just means that you can add your own creative flare.

Easy Crochet Gingerbread Man

This crochet gingerbread man is worked in a spiral from the top down with a single round of white.

We’ll begin by chaining 2 and working 6 single crochet into the second chain from hook. This is my preferred starting method when using plush yarn.

A few simple increase and decrease rounds will give our gingerbread man shape and the arms and legs are bobble stitches worked in the front loop only.

The little bow is the perfect finishing touch and creates definition between the head and body.

Finished Size

The finished gingerbread man measures approximately 2.5″ (6.5cm) tall. Size may vary depending on tension and materials used.

Gauge

Gauge is not important in this pattern. Use a hook size to match your chosen yarn. Make sure that your stitches are tight enough to prevent stuffing showing through and adjust hook size if necessary.

Notes

  • Pieces are worked in a continuous spiral. Mark the first stitch of each round with a removable stitch marker.
  • All bobble stitches are worked in the front loop only.
