• Poinsettia Ornament Crochet Pattern

Day 6 of the 12 Days of Crochet Christmas is a pretty poinsettia ornament crochet pattern. Poinsettias always look so festive with their red and green foliage. I tried to go for a more simplified version here with just the two layers and I love that it kind of looks like a star. I’ve used the picot single crochet stitch for the centre of the red leaves with the rest of the leaves being worked in a combination of simple stitches. The instructions are a little bit wordy but once you do the first leaf the rest should be easy.…

  • Gift Box Ornament Crochet Pattern

Day 5 of the 12 Days of Crochet Christmas is a little gift box crochet pattern. Not gonna lie, I’m a little obsessed with this one. I love all things miniature and it looks so sweet in the tree plus you can fill it with goodies. The body of the box is worked in alternating rounds of single crochet spike stitch and single crochet stitches which gives it such a wonderful texture. I’ve also used a technique to create a sharper angle for the base and lid but if this is too tricky, feel free to use just the back…

  • Gingerbread Ornament Crochet Pattern

Day 4 of the 12 Days of Crochet Christmas is this super cute gingerbread ornament crochet pattern. This was actually the first ornament that I made as I thought it would be the easiest but as with most simple things, it was a bit of a struggle to get him just how I wanted. I’m glad I persisted though as I think he turned out so cute. He might even be my favourite from the whole collection (shhh don’t tell the others). The white band is created with surface slip stitching and I tried something slightly different for the bow…

  • Mitten Ornament Crochet Pattern

Day 3 of the 12 Days of Crochet Christmas is this cosy little mitten ornament crochet pattern. Despite enjoying a Summer Christmas here in New Zealand, I still love all the wintery things. The thumb and lower part of the hand are worked separately before being joined together. I kept my embellishments simple but you can totally get creative here. MATERIALS (Contains Affiliate Links) ABBREVIATIONS NOTES The pattern is written using US terminology and measures approximately 2.5″ (6.5cm) long when using the materials listed. Pieces are worked in a continuous spiral starting with a magic ring unless otherwise specified. Mark…

  • Lollipop Ornament Crochet Pattern

Day 2 of the 12 Days of Crochet Christmas is a sweet lollipop ornament crochet pattern. This is actually one that didn’t quite make the cut last year so I decided to rework it for this years event and I love it so much more now. It works up really quickly but does require some knowledge of surface slip stitching to get the cool swirl effect. I made mine single sided (because I’m lazy haha) but you could easily repeat the swirl on the backside too. I made some starch to stiffen the lollipop stick and make it more robust.…
