Mrs Claus Ornament Crochet Pattern

Day 10 of the 12 Days of Crochet Christmas is a Mrs Claus ornament crochet pattern!

Mrs Claus crocheted ornament being held in a cupped hand.

This Mrs Claus ornament crochet pattern is sweet and simple. The hair pieces and embellishments are crocheted separately and sewn on at the end. She’d also be super cute with a pair of glasses (I did try to make some but I didn’t have the correct materials).

Finished Size

The finished ornament measures approximately 2.25″ long x 2″ wide (6cm x 5cm). Size may vary depending on tension and materials used.

Gauge

Gauge is not important in this pattern. Use a hook size to match your chosen yarn. Make sure that your stitches are tight enough to prevent stuffing showing through and adjust hook size if necessary.

Notes

  • Pieces are worked in a continuous spiral starting with a magic ring unless otherwise specified. Mark the first stitch of each round with a removable stitch marker.

Assembly

  • Using skin colour yarn, sew a nose centred between the eyes between R12 and R13. Stitch over the nose until you get your desired look (approximately 5 times).
  • Place the hair on the head. Sew the bun to the hair using the leftover front loops from R5 of the hair and the front loop only of the bun. Add some stuffing when you’re about 3/4 of the way around. Avoid over stuffing.
  • Sew the hair to the head.
  • Tie a piece of red yarn around the bun.
  • Sew the holly leaf and berry to the right side of the hair next to the bun.
  • Using pink yarn, sew cheeks just under and to the side of each eye going over a single st twice.
