Crochet Cat Coaster Pattern

Are you a cat lover and a crocheter? This crochet cat coaster is the purr-fect way to add some feline charm to your home.

Three crochet cat coasters, one black, one purple and one orange, lying slightly overlapping each other on a white background.

This crochet cat coaster pattern is quick, easy and fun! Make them in any color to suit your style or to match your favorite feline friend.

My colour choices were inspired by Halloween as these cat coasters are a great way to add a subtle seasonal touch to your home.

I love the simplicity of these cat coasters, but feel free to embellish them by embroidering a face with whiskers or adding a little bow, get creative.

About the Pattern

This crochet cat coaster is worked in joined rounds. The ch 1 at the beginning of each round does not count as a stitch, place the first stitch of the round in the same stitch as joining.

We’ll begin by making 10 half double crochet in a magic ring and increasing over a number of rounds to create a flat circle.

The final round is when we’ll add a fun trim and the cute little ears.

Recommended Yarn

I always recommend cotton yarn for coasters as it’s durable, absorbent, holds up well to heat and is easy to wash – all the things that you want in a crochet coaster.

For this pattern, I’ve used worsted weight yarn with a 3.5mm hook.
