30 Minute Velvet Egg Crochet Pattern

Are you egg-cited for Easter? Whether you’re in need of a quick last minute gift or some kid friendly seasonal decor, this 30 minute velvet egg crochet pattern will be your new go-to.

A crochet purple velvet egg being held up in front of a bowl of purple and grey crocheted eggs.

I know there are plenty of egg patterns floating around but I really wanted to create my own using some yarn from my stash.

The velvet yarn gives these eggs a really luxurious feel and the soft colours look so pretty.

I’ve kept mine sweet and simple to suit my style but feel free to add embellishments and make them your own.

Gauge is not important in this pattern. Use a hook size to match your chosen yarn. Make sure that your stitches are tight enough to prevent stuffing showing through and adjust hook size if necessary.
